Beyond Earth: Enforcer - An EotU Ltd. Production

NEWS & UPDATES [Thursday, July 19, 2003]

     Hey! Welcome to the site for Beyond Earth: Enforcer, Beyond Earth's longest running saga. This site is an EOTU Ltd. production, something you'll all learn more about in weeks to come. You may be rather surprised to find this site, much smaller and different in design, where the previously larger Beyond Earth official site was...and there is a reason for that.
     You see, the other site was rapidly becoming an extreme difficulty to update. While bigger is sometimes better, that's only the case if I can actually manage to keep it updated, and I'm sorry to say I couldn't. It was just too much. Even uploading a single story took me almost an hour, at best...and between work, and the demands of the rest of the world which unfortunately must hold some sway over me, coupled with the fact that I do rather want to spend some of my time writing...it came down to meaning I just couldn't handle the big site anymore. Thus, the sparse updates. I'm sorry I didn't mention it at all, but the problem was only recently identified.
     This site, then, is much smaller. It lacks many of the extras and pages of archival stuff which the other site had, which was partially what was giving me problems. The news page has been simplified to...this. I can handle this. :)
     Fear not, though, there will be more than this little site. It simply won't be coming for awhile. I intend to kick off a site for EOTU Ltd., which will house and host a few sites like this one, but will also be a place for you to find Lazarus, the books, and the like as that. I can't give you many more details than that now...mostly because I don't really have them! For now, though, you'll be able to get Enforcer through this site.
     Additionally, for those of you who were unaware, Lazarus has also been posted consistently over at DistantWorlds.net so when new stories go online, and if they do before EOTU Ltd. is done, then they'll go up there and I'll leave a note here for you, to make it easier to find.
     That's all for the moment. I hope everyone can forgive me for my rather rushed and possibly brash actions. At the very least, I promise you'll still get those. :)
Addendum I [7/19/03]: A note for those confused by the new news system. The big story of the update -- say, the adding of new episodes, or other otherworldly news, will make up the majority of the post. Then, way down here, throughout the month and spaces between the adding of stories, there shall be smaller updates which will be tacked on in the form of addendums. That way, it's harder to miss out on some important bit of news.
Addendum II [7/19/03]: This might normally have been the big story of the update, but since the biggest story right now is the new site, this gets bumped down to an Addendum. Episode 16, Through Cold Eyes, is now online for your viewing pleasure. Episode 17 will go online next Saturday. Enjoy the new story!
Addendum III [7/19/03]: The entire Season One Archive is online. So if you haven't read the previous episodes...snap to it!
